To welcome all of you clicking through from Kotaku (and taking down our server for a couple hours yesterday — sorry!), I whipped together another batch of minifigs inspired by video game characters. This is the first of three posts.
Without further ado, here are the characters from Final Fantasy III for Nintendo DS:
From left to right, that’s Ingus, Luneth (as a black mage), Arc (ranger), and Refia (geomancer with bell).
DARKSpawn has bestowed yet another gem on us with his Tower House:
The rounded towers and angled windows are my favorite details, but the whole building is full of sweet little details. Keep it up, DARKSpawn!
Dandily has recently posted an awesome Viking lighthouse. Among other details, check out the thatched roof and the light source. Gotta love that light. :)
After months of difficult judging by Classic Castle Admins, the winners for Colossal Castle Contest IV have been decided!

Lots of people have built LEGO necromancers, the Grim Reaper, and other minions of evil, but Classic Castler smcginnis has created quite the helmet for his version of Death:
Pictures from the Nuremburg Toy Fair have shown up on Brickshelf. We’ve seen pictures of most of these sets already, and known most of them were in the pipeline, but it’s nice to see pictures — and there are a couple surprises.
EDIT: Looks like the pictures have been moved or deleted, and the folder itself is currently not public. I’ll add pictures again once they become available.

Paul Brassington has created a true masterpiece! Not only are his building skills something to die for, but he has taken great shots of the entire scene. Also, check out the nifty video of the flailing tentacles!

Classic-Castle member and Brickshelf user Martin Jaspers (Marakoeschtra) is very well known for his detailed construction of minifig-scale creations. His inspiring gallery recently has a new section: furniture. I wish I had access to such rare parts like he does. Also check out the Classic-Castle.com thread.
