Mike Nieves’s (retinence) Protoman creation from Megaman is instantly recognizable and can strike an awesome pose. The variety of large curved slopes works out well in a creation of this scale.

It has been over 3 years since Tyler (Legohaulic) and I collaborated on a large display. In our newest work, we present a theme inspired by the colorful and imaginative video game Bastion. This is a 7’x7′ display of a floating world shattered into fragments, whose citizens are now rebuilding their lost home. Check out the detail shots on Tyler‘s and my Flickr photostream.

I’ve seen a lot of mash-ups, but this is the first time I’ve seen a Gundam crossed with a Star Wars ship. This hybrid by Kevin Ryhal (MDSWIM) looks useful to the rebel resistance, but I’m not sure how it can bring down the Death Star.
There is a new Lego convention coming to Raleigh, NC called BrickUniverse organized by Lego fan Geryson Beights. This is a standard 4-day Lego convention held at the Raleigh Convention Center. Below is the announcement:
We are pleased to announce BrickUniverse 2015, a convention for LEGO fans of all ages coming to Raleigh, North Carolina. BrickUniverse 2015 will be held at the Raleigh Convention Center.

The sixth annual Creations for Charity sale starts today! From now until the end of November, you can buy a custom creation to help raise money to buy Lego sets for underprivileged children. These creations are all built and donated by the fans, and there’s more to come throughout the sale. A year ago Nick V. (Brickthing) posted an interesting tribal shaman figure. Now he’s done it again using some new parts that were released recently. The color selection and parts use are things I can’t take my eyes off of.
Michał Kaźmierczak has built several large dioramas, and they all keep getting bigger and better. His epic rendition of the volcanic world of Mustafar from Star Wars captures the fiery landscape and the realistic texture of the lava. The diorama rests on a footprint of 35 large gray baseplates. Here is a photo with the builder for perspective.
The microscale imperial shuttle in this photo really shows off the scale of this massive display.
