LEGO celebrates 20 years of Batman with new Batmobiles and a Bat logo releasing March 2026

Following this year’s excellent Arkham Asylum set and Batman Forever Batmobile, the Dark Knight continues his hot streak as LEGO announces four new Batman sets releasing on March 1, 2026. The sets draw on different eras of the Batman movie franchise and connect to the LEGO Batman – Legacy of the Dark Knight video game, with each set containing an unlock code for an exclusive golden variant in-game.

First, a Batman Logo offers a greeble-covered take on the iconic Batman (1989) design, and includes a bonus golden Batman minifig. The other sets are branded as part of the Legendary Batmobile Collection and feature the car and costumes featured in Batman v. Superman, The Batman, and Batman & Robin, the latter making its LEGO debut. The Batmobiles are scaled and detailed similarly to Speed Champion sets, although they aren’t associated with that line. Designed with display in mind, they lack play features and villains but feature a high degree of detail for the small profile. Each set comes with a printed gold tile celebrating 20 years of LEGO Batman.

Upcoming The Batman movie LEGO sets revealed, including Technic Batmobile [News]

Today LEGO has taken the wraps off a wave of sets from the upcoming movie The Batman, a reboot starring Robert Pattinson. The new sets include three minifigure-scale sets. 76181 Batmobile: The Penguin Chase features Batman’s newly stylized muscle car Batmobile with Batman and the Penguin, while another, 76179 Batman & Selina Kyle Motorcycle Pursuit, includes a pair of motorcycles for Batman and Celina Kyle, AKA Catwoman. The third is 76183 The Batcave: The Riddler Face-off, which can function as a garage for the Batmobile and Batcycle from the other sets. It includes Batman, Selina Kyle, The Riddler, The Drifter, Alfred, and Commissioner Gordon. The final set, 42127 The Batman – Batmobile, is a larger, 1,360-piece Technic version of the new Batmobile. The movie is slated to release March 4, 2022, but you’ll be able to snag the sets well ahead of that as they’re available to pre-order now and will begin shipping Nov. 1.

Can a sparkly vampire also be a brooding billionaire Batman?

We’ve seen Robert Pattinson nail his role as a glittery vampire in the Twilight series. But will a sparkly vampire who is perpetually in high school and whose true love appears to be just one Jell-O Shooter away from vomiting translate well for the role of a brooding, emotionally-stunted billionaire orphan with bat issues? No matter where you stand on that debate you have to admit that the new Batmobile for the upcoming The Batman movie looks intriguing. Builder u/ZeRadman is probably the first to render up a LEGO version and it looks like good old Detroit muscle with a few Mad Max-style customizations. This might have been the first but if I know LEGO builders (and it seems I do) this won’t be the last. As for Pattinson as Batman I say give him a chance. All the fanboys were up in arms over Affleck and look how…um…yeah. Anyway, cool Batmobile!
