Even Mecha howl at the Moon

The Dragonwolf Medium Assault Mecha, by Todd Amacher, borders on extreme niftyness.

Cave racing, across the universe

As has been previously blogged here I made a cave racer and asked Jas Nagra to make a variant. As a few people expressed interest in doing their own I posted a couple more and marked the blue one with the design criterion. Well it is now developing into a little league with various racers popping up so I created a flickr group to collect the racers.

EDIT: Some clearer guidelines

I’m over the moon for Zach’s micro moonbase factory

Inspired by Space Police Precinct 9, Zach Clapsadle decided the moon needed a factory. With smokestacks (built from pirate cannons). On the moon. Where there’s no air.

Love it.

Tropicana racer bursting with colors

Nnenn‘s Tropicana racer is full of vibrant colors and decals. The color combination is especially vibrant, and I’ve not seen many colorful creations look this good. This is something only nnenn and a few others can achieve.

What a pretty Cave Racer...

In honor of Tim, our fellow Brickian Brother, Jas Nagra has concocted a little cave racer and given it some rather unusual colors. Pink and teal anyone?

Serenity Mule, LEGO’d by Lord T

I’ll use any excuse to blog LEGO creations inspired by Serenity or Firefly — I’m a sucker for “LEGO of the ‘Verse”, I guess.

Lord T‘s updated Mule is so vastly improved from his first version featured here a couple years ago that it deserves a second look:

Cream! Get on top.

We regularly highlight the works of Adrian Florea (Olog) as he is, in my opinion at least, one of the most interesting and talented LEGO modellers around at the moment. This particular piece, the gunboat “David Tucker”, is probably my favourite of his, the multiply curved shape is delightful and very ‘non-LEGO’. Furthermore it made Prince‘s `Cream’ pop into my head and that’s always a good thing.

The real Nnenn isn’t afraid of lime green

Nnenn‘s name came up during all the recent April Fools tomfoolery, so it only seems appropriate to follow pseudo-Nnenn with the real thing.

Green has always been my favorite color:

Space Police Precinct 9

I believe smaller is better. Lots of small is even even more better.

Andrew Lee presents a whole lotta small with this pair of micro moonbase modules inspired by the Space Police theme:
