Tag Archives: Minifigs

Everybody loves LEGO minifigures — well, almost everybody. Minifigs are often the stars of the LEGO models we feature here on The Brothers Brick, but we also feature some amazing custom minifigs you’d never expect to see in an official LEGO set.

NickGreat’s Green Samurai

As featured here previously, master customizer NickGreat continues his “Colors of the Samurai” with my favorite color — and favorite minifig so far (via Klocki):

(Wow, feels like I’ve been gone forever, but it’s only been a couple of days. My bookmark folder’s bursting at the seams, so I’ll do a few “roundup” posts tomorrow to catch up.)

Dr. Crow and his Mechanical Creations

Forum 0937 member rupi puts Chris Bragg‘s arm replacement technique to good use with Dr. Crow, a mad scientist.

(If you don’t already know how to put a robot arm on a minifig, you can read the how-to on Chris’s old blog.)

Genghis Khan 1162-1227

My brother and I built this when he visited months ago, but I somehow missed photographing and posting it. Anyway, here’s how I’ve always imagined Genghis Khan (undeterred, it would seem, by the historical record):

S.W.A.T.

If gold-toothed felons in black and white stripes overrun your LEGO town, it’s time to call in S.W.A.T. — armed with the usual gear.

Joe Vig and the Ninjas

I threw this together last night, as a showcase for my new green ninjas. They are so cool…

In this scene the famously oblivious Joe Vig strolls through a bamboo forest. Will he escape alive? Of course, he’s Joe Vig!

One item to note is the complete lack of bricks and plates in this vignette. Now that was fun!

The whole vigging gallery.

A couple of figs...

Wow, I haven’t posted in a long time. But I actually built some stuff last night, so I’m posting them!

The first fig has the extremely original name of “Samurai”. I mostly built this one to show off my rare ninja pieces. It makes my cousin (Kinux) mad when i do that…

The second, I call GoldenRed. I was really tired and couldn’t think of anything else…

Enjoy!

Wizards and Bone Warriors

Well, just one wizard, but a whole horde of bone warriors from Moko.

I love the use of bats in the wizard’s staff:

And the skeleton warriors are oh so shiny with their chrome armor:
