Can a build be big and small at the same time? Builder Paul Hetherington has the answer, creating an expansive representation of the Disney parks’ most earworm-generating ride. “It’s A Small World” takes us on a boat tour of memorable locales around the globe. One of the cleverest aspects of the build is the use of minidolls from the LEGO Friends line to serve as the ride’s iconic puppets, setting them apart physically from the standard minifigs taking the tour. Apart from that, the famous landmarks from each country are instantly identifiable: we see features from Ireland, the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, and France and ending with Greece, India, Japan, China, and Easter Island. It’s a very detailed world, after all!

LEGO Disney 43215 The Enchanted Treehouse [Review]
This year marks the 100th anniversary of Disney. There have been a bunch of sets released so far that commemorate the long history of animated and live-action stories over the years. Many of these sets include princesses and princes in the traditional minifigure style. But with many of the recent Disney sets designed to feature the minidoll style first introduced with the LEGO Friends theme, many LEGO and Disney fans are sure to be excited about of of the latest sets to include this style of figures. LEGO Disney 43215 The Enchanted Tree-house includes 1,016 pieces and is on sale now for US $159.99 | CAN $209.99 | UK £149.99
The LEGO Group provided The Brothers Brick with an early copy of this set for review. Providing TBB with products for review guarantees neither coverage nor positive reviews.
Minidoll parts you just have to have
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I am an absolute fan of LEGO minidoll related themes. And yes, sometimes the sets are a bit too brightly coloured to blend in with your LEGO City. And yes, having minidolls next to minifigures in one creation can look a little bit odd. But the minidoll themes come with such interesting parts and most of them are minifigure compatible. In Hannah’s latest creation she used a couple of minidoll hair and headpieces that work perfectly for fantasy-themed minifigures.
The build itself ain’t too shabby either, it looks massive. But that might just be thanks to a little bit of photoshopping. The best part about the build has to be the gold arched gate door. LEGO has released a prefab gate door but that one simply doesn’t compare next to this brick build design by Hannah.
