I’m really enjoying the recent surge in micro-scale building (mainly in the Space community, though SEALUG member Justin Major showed off a really awesome modular city at this month’s meeting — should’ve taken pictures).
Classic-Spacer Jerac (Jerrec on Brickshelf) posted a micro medical frigate titled Grigorij Rasputin earlier this morning:
Here’s the Rasputin assisting another micro-scale ship — note the extended docking corridor and the small shuttles swarming over the stricken vessel:
I love micro and mini-scale creations. Teeny weeny cityscapes and itsy bitsy spaceships are just fantastic. Classic-Spacer Mike Yoder (mryoder on Brickshelf) has posted a drop-dead gorgeous orbital docking station, replete with a service shuttle, tanker, and mecha.
First up, an overview of the docking station itself:
Next, a closeup of the shuttle:
Here we have HGDebris’ wonderful microscale city:
And then it blows up:
As if the Star Wars MINI scale weren’t small enough, builders have also been creating “micro-scale” Star Wars vehicles for some time — especially since the release of 10030 Imperial Star Destroyer.
New Brickshelf user Greg Mote has just uploaded a bunch of micro-scale Star Wars vehicles that take this scale to a whole new level.
And more. Very nice work.
