Fortress in the forest

Daniel Z presents the hidden fortress of an outlaw tucked in the depths of the forest. But the lurking evil is soon to be uprooted as two scouts have discovered the villain’s hideout. What will happen next?

Gently down the stream...

Check out Tiberium_Blue’s action-packed river scene. I’m lovin’ that tree….

Lurking evil in the perfect life

Tom Snellan is the first to enter the 6th annual Collossal Castle Contest with a creation that sets the bar high. Titled “The Perfect Life?”, this seemingly peaceful diorama depicts happiness with a twist, where hooded Death approaches ominously to claim an innocent’s life. What an eerie juxtaposition!

Kazalaeam Castle

Ex-Force hair as trees, “headlight” bricks on their sides as windows, and wands/lightsabers for the beams in the bridge and dock — this microscale castle by Wobnam might feel a little underpopulated, but there’s an amazing amount of detail to take in:

Superfan sends in a Trojan Horse

Fórum 0937 member superfan has entered the Classic-Castle.com Mini Castle Contest IV with this great scene that incorporates a minifig-scale horse as a massive Trojan Horse:

Living in a tree with Tânia

One of my favorite contests every year (though I have yet to enter myself) is the Classic-Castle Mini-Castle Contest, full of teeny tiny medieval towns and, well, lots of castles, of course. ;)

The “Living Tree” by Tânia Baixinhos reminds me of something from a Miyazaki movie or a Final Fantasy game:

Check out the Brickshelf gallery for details like the lake, fields, villagers, and all the little houses in the branches of the tree.

BusterBuilder builds a big, bad bug

Well, not so bad if it’s pulling an adorable dwarven cart, but Rodney “BusterBuilder” Bistline‘s bug is certainly a unique addition to the LEGO Castle universe:

Welcome to your new home, Soldier!

Lugpol member Kris Kelvin has built a rather impressive Imperial Barracks. I love the brickwork on the building, but that isn’t all that’s noteworthy. From the officers’ uniforms to the wheels of the cannons, this creation is packed with eye-candy.

Down by the Bay with Rocko

The coolness that is Rocko has just finished Bay Castle. Check out this waterfront beauty! As with most of Rock’s creations, this thing is bursting with detail. I love the wake behind the water-skier and the Forestmen’s raft, but that’s not all there is to see.

Take a peek for yourself. I think you’ll be surprised.

If you prefer, it can be seen in his Flickr gallery as well.

Thomas Wunz presents Careinst Evakyl!

Thomas Wunz brought this incredible castle to BrickCon and walked away with a well-deserved Best Castle award. The detailing on the structure itself is incredible, but the landscaping is also a thing of beauty. Well done, Thomas!

Careinst Evakyl:

I think he picks names just so I can’t pronounce them though…

A juggling Jester Troll!

Most people know how much I love my Trolls, but I never thought of this. Nolnet has his Troll tossing some dwarves for your entertainment. He’s pretty good too. Hasn’t dropped that many…
