Shortlist announced for The Brothers Brick LEGO Creation of the Year 2021 [News]

The year 2021 was challenging in many ways, to say the least. However, LEGO builders also took on new challenges like never before, channeling their creativity in new and delightful ways. The year brought us thousands of fascinating models, from tiny dioramas to the largest collaborative projects. The Brothers Brick team has taken a look back over the last 12 months and pulled together our selection of the best LEGO creations of 2021 for our sixth annual LEGO Creation of the Year award.

LEGO wins four Toy of the Year (TOTY) 2021 Awards from Toy Association [News]

Every year, the “Oscars” of the toy industry, Toy of the Year (TOTY) awards recognises the best of the best in the scene. The Toy Association is a nonprofit foundation that brings toys and grant funding to children’s charities across North America and around the world. For the 2021 awards, LEGO picked up 4 awards in several categories.

The Brothers Brick LEGO Builder of the Year 2020 [News]

Every day the team at The Brothers Brick showcases the best models put together by the global community of creative LEGO builders. However, amongst the thousands of talented builders around the world, there are always a few whose work offers inspiration to the rest of us — displaying mastery of technique and creativity across a variety of building styles.

The Brothers Brick is delighted to name Eli Willsea as our LEGO Builder of the Year 2020.

The Brothers Brick LEGO Creation of the Year 2020 [News]

If it was tricky enough to put together a shortlist of the best LEGO creations of 2020, but narrowing it down to a single “best model” proved even harder. Every model on the shortlist was excellent, and there was much debate amongst the team. However, after a great deal of discussion, The Brothers Brick is delighted to announce Koen Zwanenburg‘s Tutankhamun Mask as our LEGO Creation of the Year 2020.

For fifteen years The Brothers Brick has been highlighting the finest LEGO creations, and while 2020 hasn’t been the year any of us might have expected, it has still seen the global community of builders put together some amazing models. To celebrate ongoing creativity during a challenging period, The Brothers Brick team has taken a look back over the last 12 months and pulled together our selection of the best LEGO creations of 2020 for our fifth annual LEGO Creation of the Year award.

The Brothers Brick LEGO Creation of the Year 2019 [News]

Putting together a shortlist of the finest LEGO creations of 2019 was a tough job, but narrowing it down to a single “best creation” proved an almost impossible task. Every model which made our shortlist was excellent, and there was much debate amongst the team. However, after a considerable amount of “robust discussion,” The Brothers Brick is delighted to announce the Classic Space Moon Base by Chris Yu as our LEGO Creation of the Year for 2019.

Developing a shortlist of the finest LEGO creations of 2018 was difficult enough, but narrowing it down to a single “best creation” proved even harder! However, after much debate amongst the team, the Brothers Brick is delighted to announce the Jakku Star Destroyer collaborative build by Eli Willsea and Grant Davis as our LEGO Creation of the Year for 2018.

Brothers Brick LEGO Builder of the Year 2018 [News]

Each day the team here at The Brothers Brick brings you the best LEGO models from the global community of LEGO builders. Their creations inspire, excite, and amuse us every day. But each year there are a handful of builders who take things to new heights — displaying their skills across a range of building styles, and amazing us with their parts usage and building techniques.

The Brothers Brick is delighted to name Chi Hsin Wei (AKA LEGO 7) as our LEGO Builder of the Year 2018.

LEGO 7 has had an incredible year, in both quantity and quality of LEGO creations. Across a range of styles and subjects, he’s showcased excellent building skills. We’ve loved seeing the different models he’s built during 2018, and we hope you’ll enjoy this retrospective look at his last twelve months…

Every day the team here at The Brothers Brick brings you the best LEGO models from the global community of LEGO builders. Their creations amuse, inspire, and excite us on a daily basis. However, each year there are a handful of builders who take things to new heights, able to turn their hands to a wide variety of building styles, and wow us with their mastery of building techniques and parts.

Brothers Brick is delighted to name Jonas Kramm as our LEGO Builder of the Year 2017.

Jonas has had an astonishing year of building — multiple models, many of them featured here, across a range of building styles, not to mention an excellent performance in Iron Builder (the highest-profile and most stressful LEGO community building competition out there). We’ve loved seeing everything he’s put together during 2017, and we hope you’ll enjoy this retrospective look at his last twelve months…
