2021 LEGO Advent Calendars, Day 12

Happy holidays to all of our fellow LEGO builders! As is tradition, we at The Brothers Brick will be opening our advent calendars as we count down to Christmas. We’ll also be sharing commentary on each one, which we hope will provide insight and hilarity to your holiday season!

This year we have new Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel, City and Friends advent calendars to open. We will be sharing images of the new calendars every day through Christmas, and hope that you’ll join us! Let’s see what there is to open on Day 12.

Today we opened yet another Star Wars classic: the Imperial TIE fighter. From Harry Potter, we discovered the bank cart that Harry rides on to his vault at the Gringott’s Bank. And it wasn’t hard to recognize the helicarrier from the Marvel advent calendar.

Have you ever seen a snowman with excellent hair? If you haven’t, just open up today’s City build. And don’t forget to put together today’s adorable puppy house from the Friends’ calendar.

Bart: This has to be the scariest snowman LEGO ever produced…

CJ: I adore the helicarrier micro. And Bart is 100% right – that is a nightmare snowman.

Chris: The Helicarrier is fantastic, but it needs a tiny micro-micro-scale Quinjet to go on that stud on top. The Friends doghouse and dog is a big step up from past years where you might have only gotten the dog and bone together.

Ed: Hideous X-mas tree Scorecard: 1. Is that a kitten or a puppy or a baby tiger? I don’t know but I need some of them in my stash of LEGO zoo animals collection. And I know it’s the Helicarrier, but I don’t have to like it. Something seems off. But good attempt nonetheless.

Seems like we had a few mixed reviews, but still signs of holiday cheer. Come back again tomorrow for Day 13 of the 2021 LEGO Advent Calendar!

The harry potter cart could have used the axle pieces so that it actually fit on the lego coaster tracks. As it is, the wheels spin but there are no tracks it will roll on. Missed opportunity imo that could have been fixed by one part swap.
