At least, Sven Junga seems to think so. While I wouldn’t mind a name, I can’t argue with a shape like this. The bulk is just perfect, it looks like this ship can move quickly and really take a beating. It probably can’t maneuver well, but it shouldn’t matter. I also just can’t say no to that turret mount.

Neo Classic Space Maelstrom
Tim Goddard (Roguebantha 1138) posted this awesome micro-scale Neo Classic Space ship a couple of weeks ago. I’ve just spotted it, and I think it’s great. There are so many great shapes in this, the cockpit area, the fuselage, even the wings. I guess it’s just all satisfying.
Mephistopheles Courier Service
Inspiration can come from many sources. In the case of this L-36 Lapin courier ship, the color scheme was inspired by a pair of sneakers. Does the ship remind anyone else of a bunny?
Star Justice Saddleback prisoner transport by nabii
Though vehicles by Mark Stafford (nabii) tend more toward the spacey, new creations from him are no less an event than ones from his LEGO coworker Adam.
The “Saddleback” is part of the Star Justice universe designed by Chris Giddens. The front-end greebles are gorgeous, as are the engines (encircled by skis).

Seraph Superiority Fighter by tobyhein
This spiky spacecraft by Toby Heineman (tobyhein) looks like it could punch quite the hole in the hull of those flying saucers hovering over our city.
The texture on the engines is particularly nice.
I like angles
H Russel (TalonKarde) simply calls this a T-59 Snubnose. I call it cool. He’s done a great job of combining components at various different angles, to form a cohesive ship.
Ultimate Brickcon Advertorial
If ever there was an incentive to go to Brickcon this would be it. NB. There are plenty of other reasons to go, but winning this would be the icing on anyone’s cake.
Space pirates have never been so classy
I’ve seen a bunch of space pirate spaceships, but never one that looks like an old-schooled pirate ship as made by Wes Pitter. The sails on this vessel are quite a novelty. You may be wondering, how does one walk the plank on a ship in space? According to the builder, “all the captain had to do was hold onto a rail, switch off the gravity, and give the offending deck-hand a good shove. He probably said something like, ‘Arr, you scurvy landlubber…!’ Or something like that.”
The flying colors of Blaq
Cole Blaq is becoming a regular on our blog, and so is our usage of his name in puns. His latest two space creations defy the ordinary. These examples from the prolific builder show how multiple techniques of creative parts usage, color coordination, and making those “right” shapes altogether make us say “wow.” Sometimes builders lean heavily towards one aspect of building such as compensating around using an interesting piece that results in a rather forced build. Here, Cole Blaq seemingly effortlessly demonstrates the importance of attention to all aspects of the creation.
The Sleeper Has Awakened
A different Stefan (2×4) than the guy who built the Sunblade below has built the great maker. He’s captured the feel of the sandworms from the old Dune movie perfectly. The three-way split mouth filled with teeth is absolutely perfect. Also note the micro shuttle (there are no wings, so it can’t be an ornithopter) for scale.
While you’re in Stefan’s gallery, make sure to check out his light-cycles too.
Sunblade Starfighter
Stefan (brainbike.rider) recently posted this excellent little starfighter. It has some nice little angles, and I love seeing a bright color scheme on a space craft from time to time. While the blade in front isn’t my favorite detail, it certainly works as an homage to Homeworld style ships.
The Meeting produces results
This month, several Neo Classic Space fans got together at Peter Reid’s house in the UK and called it The Meeting. They individually and collectively produced some great stuff, my personal favorite is the LL0505 Comet, a collaborative effort by Thomas Oechsner, Peter Reid and Stuart Crawshaw.
Worth checking out the other photos of The Meeting for more detailed pictures of this creation as well as several others.
