Who doesn’t love babies, especially when they are dressed as sailors in the Imperial navy. Here they go resupplying at the port before setting sail to root out evil in all its baby-hating evil ways. But the babies aren’t the only adorable things in this scene by Kev.the.Builder —- take a closer look at that port, with its tiny red roof and tiny door made from an arched window piece, and that tiny working crane. The tiny tree is also very… very… tiny, and cute.
The idea for a new quarantine hobby — marble sculpture. Oh sure, it can be pricey and a little hazardous… but if we’re talking about LEGO, all you need is a monochrome minifig on hand and a few Tuscan houses to set a scene like Kev.the.builder’s latest creation. In this idyllic build, Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci is carving out a new masterpiece. The sculpture looks very polished, being made of a variety of tiles, including a Nexo Knights shield and macaroni tiles. The houses in the background are great examples of Kev’s knack for textured brickwork. My favorite is the dark tan house on the right, with its inset masonry brick door. The exposed studs on its pediment add a nice rustic touch at the top of an upside-down cheese slope archway.
Monkeys can be a public nuisance in places like India, the Caribbean, and even in Singapore.These particular monkeys however are on a mission and they’ve taken the art of robbing markets to a whole ‘nother level! Kev.the.Builder presents a LEGO scene where a monkey scout sits in the trees and reports every movement to the commander. Another monkey perches atop the stall, waiting for the order to strike. The monkey commander leads the mission, methodically planning a infallible raid sequence. Every mission has its adversities, but the result is always the same: the monkeys get the bananas! Even without the monkeys, this would be an engaging scene with great colors and textures. The Mediterranean tile roof, the thatched awning, even the caged chickens are all fantastic details. Is it wrong that I’m rooting for the monkeys?
