Well, just one wizard, but a whole horde of bone warriors from Moko.
I love the use of bats in the wizard’s staff:
And the skeleton warriors are oh so shiny with their chrome armor:

With Wizard’s Challenge contest now over, voting has opened. Head on over to Eurobricks to review the entries and cast your votes. Here are a few more of my faves…
Brickster’s Snake Oil Salesman and Lorenz J’s Mihangel Yorath:
Sir Dillon’s Larry of the Metal Arm and Optimus Convoy’s Namron the Necromancer:
Third link post. I hope everyon’s getting the hang of this. I’ve run across a bunch of these in Richard McCarthy’s LEGO SigFig Flickr group.
Chuck’s Templar Hardsuit and Chris Bragg’s vampire:
Legohaulic, as himself:
Moko minifigs:
TsoAutTmo’s Sandman and Patrick Morgan’s Ultramarine from Warhammer 40,000:
Great entries in the Castle Contest and Wizard’s Challenge are coming so fast and furious I can’t keep up. On to the creations…
Lolas’ King’s Castle and Lomero’s Black Falcon’s Tower:
A couple of Nelson Yrizarry’s five entries (don’t miss this):
Wizards from Agent oo7, DARKspawn, and Steve Bishop
Ha! For once, I’m going to beat Hippotam to a great new creation. Oh, and the best part is that it’s Hippotam’s own entry to the Castle Contest. :-D
In addition to being a great blogger, Hippotam reminds us that he is clearly also a great builder. ;-)
Polish LEGO fan Lolas presents a fantastic entry in the ongoing Castle Contest:
With lots of wonderful details to see and funny comments to read, make sure to click the image to visit Lolas’ site.
Eurobricks member The Brickster is running a minifig building contest called Wizard’s Challenge. In addition to the wizard minifig, you can also build the interior of the wizard’s workshop.
There are three categories:
The contest began with the first entry on April 25, and runs for one week, so you have just four more days. There are already some strong entries from a couple EB members, such as Aves Hawthorne by SirNadroj:
And Mapones the Druid by Alex54:
So, four days to go. Get building!
Millionaire Playboy has wonderfully detailed pictures of the new 5378 Hogwarts Castle set. Head on over there for the video podcast, but here are the highlights for me — the minifigs!
Dolores Umbridge and Hermione Granger both sport new hair:
The weirdest, coolest LEGO head ever on a mystery character (another Deatheater?), and a new Draco Malfoy:
And my favorite, Hermione holding a mandrake root:
surfininsf presents the cast of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet:
(I can see your belly button, Juliet!)
Patrick has built a very nifty Necromancer’s Tower for the Lego Castle Contest currently running on Classic-Castle. Don’t tell anyone, but I think this will be the winner in the Tower category!
