While it’s not quite “stopping by woods on a snowy evening,” it’s still poetic. Classic-Castle member LegoLord posted this lovely castle in the snow. It’s not particularly big, and that’s okay. The walls grab me and I like the tan/brown combo on the tower.

It was a Dark and Stormy Night
You all know that Nathan Proudlove rocks the Lego Fan world. At BrickCon he took the Castle section by storm with this incredible creation. There is so much to love in this one. Check out the variegated roof made of cheese slopes, the dark red water/blood that surrounds it, the skeletal trees, the carriage….the list goes on and on. It won “Best in Castle” at BrickCon and definitely deserved the win.
This time they will not fail
These dwarves aren’t going to take it lying down anymore. The vile, nefarious dragon is no match for their high-tech weaponry. This time things will be different. This time they will not fail.
This Castle Spoof scene was made by me.
I wish my bored-inspired creations were this pretty.
Whenever I try and build when I’m bored, the results aren’t post-worthy. But this is clearly not the case for David Leest. His “bored” creations are clearly much better than mine.
That said, I really like this particular creation of his. I like the multi-level, bright colored goodness. It has enough implied movement to keep my eye wandering, and that works for me.
Brickforge makes Brickcon Castle packs! [News]
The Castle layout at BrickCon is going all out this year! In support of that effort, Brickforge is contributing exclusive packs for contributors to the Castle section at the Con. Gotta love those gold helms…
Quantities are limited, so if you have something medieval, let me know about it. We can always use more Castle goodness.
Atlantis in Micro
The entries for Classic-Castle‘s Mini Castle Contest VI are starting to crop up, including Rod Gillies‘s study of Atlantis before the whole sinking incident. The whole thing is just gorgeous and completely captures a water-front city in its heyday.
Eggy’s new chateau
Bryan’s (Eggy Pop) latest castle creation is a refreshing break from the theme, probably because it doesn’t have green foliage. As a result the contrast between the antique brown and crisp blue stands out, making this a rare delight.
Finding Fortune
There are many things that draw me to this lovely little creation. The waterfall just jumps out, and I love the not-square base. Posted by David Leest, recently out of his dark ages. I’d say he’s coming out of those dark ages quite strong!
Harry Pottery
The Hog’s Head is a cute tudor house from Harry Potter but one that would look equally excellent on a castle layout. _Matn has many other lovely Harry Potter creations with inspiration for town and castle fans alike.
Dragon of the Golden Towers
Really good Micro-scale is hard to do, but Crises_crs did it. I love the dragon and the Bionicle baseplate fits perfectly.
Castello Rosso
Stephen (busboy489) has chimed in with his entry to the 32×32 challenge at Classic-Castle–aptly named Castello Rosso. I particularly like the angles of the towers on the base, and the inclusion of the dark red to break up the bright red.
Blacksmith o’ the Crown
A timber-and-stone, house-and-shop combo is always nifty and being somewhat versed in the dark art myself, I’m partial to blacksmith creations. However, this one by Peter deYeule is especially nice.
