Every good girl deserves a great mech, and Djokson has crafted this cute and friendly character, with her hands in the pockets of her green overalls, into a strong yet gentle-looking beast of a mech using a collection of System, DUPLO, and soccer field parts. The chunky details combined with simple, clean angles and unusual DUPLO elements give this mech a style that is much more than the sum of its parts.

Announcing TBB’s Steampunk collaborative display at BrickCon 2025 [News]
Summer is here, and that means another Brickcon is right around the corner. We had a great time hosting our collaborative display last year, featuring botanical scenes of all shapes, sizes, and scales — there were some truly amazing builds. This year, we want to showcase something a little more ambitious! We hope our community of builders and convention-goers is equally excited to join us in a steampunk world’s fair that we’re calling the Royal Exposition 1898!
Think of a version of a world’s fair like the famous 1893 Chicago World’s Fair, but with a steampunk twist. Monowheel vehicles, airships, pavilion booths, Victorian architecture, walking platforms — the only limit is your imagination. We’ll set up a channel on our Discord and provide some building standards after the jump, and in that channel.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and so it is no surprise that this summer’s wave of LEGO Star Wars sets highlights vehicles and locations featured in the 2005 film, such as the Clone Turbotank from the battle of Kashyyyk. The Separatists join the fun with a new version of the Trade Federation’s Multi-Troop Transport, or MTT, which gets an impressive if somewhat small update with LEGO Star Wars 75435 Battle of Felucia Separatist MTT, which comes with 976 pieces and will retail for US $159.99 | CAN $199.99 | UK £139.99 starting on August 1st.

A fantastic LEGO kingfisher is in the cards
Every LEGO model tells a story, sometimes it’s obvious, sometimes it’s mysterious, and sometimes it’s beautiful, like this kingfisher flying out of a deck of cards, holding the gold key of clubs in its beak, built by BigBrickStan for the latest Biocup LEGO building contest. Plant parts supplement the usual wing elements in two shades of blue, and the keys for all four suits are created with minimal parts.
A monochromatic oasis for a wizard
Sometimes a single piece can set the stage for a LEGO build, and in this case, it was a sand-green rooftop element which inspired Duncan Lindbo to create an entire scene around it, and in the same color as well from a winding stair, to a bench and a teapot to provide a relaxing respite from spell-casting.
LEGO midi-scale U-Wing takes flight, and looks great
In my opinion, the U-Wing, introduced in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is easily one of the most interesting fighters since the X-Wing. So I was excited to see this model by Matt showing this iconic fighter at a smaller scale, but in no way skimping on details. Taking a closer look at the front wing assembly, you can see a very interesting combination of modified plates with upward brackets to form the wing along two building angles. The choce of the modiefied slope with the cut-outs is the perfect canopy as well.
Oh, and in case you were wondering if the wings swing back for atmospheric flight mode… Yes they do.

Nothing says summer like a trip to the Grand Canyon
Minifigure habitats are fun, but I prefer microscale vignettes like this minimalist scene by Nannan Zhang. Here, the Grand Canyon is depicted in a three-dimensional scene that feels like a Polaroid picture extruded by a 3D printer. The sky background, combining plates and bricks in stripes, reminds me of the fantastic LEGO set Visions from the Space Age.
Seen from the top, the striations of the rock faces are made by stacking wedge plates of a variety of sizes and shapes. And the wandering river along the bottom, made from light azure tiles, really pops.

In addition to the amazing LEGO models created by builders worldwide, The Brothers Brick brings you the best LEGO news and reviews. This is our weekly Brick Report for the 2nd week of July 2025.

TBB NEWS AND REVIEWS We feasted on LEGO Star Wars last week, with a bunch of new sets announced, including the highly anticipated AT-ST UCS set that looks to add tons of great details to the classic chicken walker. This week, we get a robot from another franchise, the latest Transformer to join the lineup. Soundwave and his two cassette tape pets were one of those toys that I played with so much that I broke both of the mini-bots from repeated transforming. And while K2-SO may not be the droids the Empire was looking for, He has been eagerly awaited since the Disney+ series Andor brought so many characters from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story back to mind. Still hungry for more LEGO news? Sink yer teeth into last week’s Brick Report for a tasty snack.
