Hollow Knight debuted in 2017 to modest acclaim, but in the years since developed a cult-like following for its tight gameplay, haunting story, and gorgeous designs. Since then, many LEGO builders have made a go at recreating the Knight and other characters in bricks. As we prepare for the long-awaited sequel’s release next week, let’s take a look back at the many Hollow Knight and Silksong LEGO builds that showcase the iconic appeal of Team Cherry’s games.
GioiaLego recreates the memorial to the Hollow Knight in the City of Tears. The Knight and Hornet appear at minifig scale. The monochrome world is lovingly recreated with light and dark grey brickwork.
Tino Poutiainen created an impressionist version of Hollow Knight. The arachnid leg is perfect for this dynamic pose.
Digital builder Drytopic captures Hornet’s robes in brick-built fashion and arms her with a Ninjago blade.
Tung Man Chun joins the game with a pair of builds that capture the appeal of the both games’ heroes at a scale that fits in the palm of your hand. Here’s his take on Hornet.
I love the layers of cloth for itty-bitty Knight.
Dan Ko shrinks the Knight and Hornet down even smaller. Hornet’s croissant ears are an inspired choice at this scale, as is Dr. Strange’s cloak.
Jamie Thul captured the knight in miniature with a clever base made from a single molded rock element.
Dylan Mievis is a prolific builder of game-inspired character MOCs and has returned to Hollow Knight several times over the years. Here is Dylan’s first take on the Knight…
The Hollow Knight…
And Hornet.
Dylan returned with several more builds, but this cozy scene is my favorite:
Miscellanabuilds created this razor sharp Hollow Knight as an entry in their Iron Builder contest with the seed part of swords.
TolerantAxe97 goes hard, forgoing any cloth elements for this epic version of the Hollow Knight.
Hejjo Demkowicz was introduced to Hollow Knight by Miscellanabuilds and was moved to make this towering build of Hornet.
Redverse keeps things chill with this adorable Knight armed with a Nexo Knights drill bit sword.
Last year, many talented builders teamed up to build the boss enemies from Hollow Knight. First up is the Watcher Knight built by Iron Builder alum Sandro Quattrini.
Matt Goldberg built the creepy Markoth.
Nuvok_mok gets buzzy building the Vengefly King that is equal parts intriguing and skin-crawling unsettledness.
Finally, a cool builder who goes by the unnerving name of MySnailEatsPizza presents the Great Nailsage Sly.
Miscellanabuilds returns with villain Shakra.
And for the final boss, The Light Forgotten, it’s only fitting that Dylan Mievis returns to the Hallownest.
Hate to be “that” guy but the second photo is actually the hollow knight
Thanks for thr catch. Fixed!
