Here at the Brothers Brick, we love writing about our favorite MOCs and new sets, but there are too many amazing creations and builder stories for us to cover them all. My favorite link this week is Brick Fanatics’ wonderful video on why Fabuland was a hit in some places and not others, but the “illegal” road techinque from Brickcrafts is a close runner up.

This Week in Bricks: Ballerinas, Chinese Guardian Lions, and set mods, oh, my! [Video]
In this edition of This Week in Bricks there are LEGO creations and set mods not to be missed; including a C-3P0 set that has been made into a very elegant lounging lady. ABrickDreamer lulls us into our happy space once again with some of the best LEGO creations on the planet and we are exponentially better off for it. Grab yourself a favorite beverage, lounge back and relax for this episode of This Week in Bricks!
ABrickDreamer dazzles with this sparkling microscale Cullen House
Davide Sacramati (aka ABrickDreamer) is a wiz at shrinking big LEGO sets into microscale versions (see his itty bitty Viking Village, Avengers Tower, and Rivendell). Davide’s latest project shrinks 221354 Twilight: The Cullen House onto an 8×16 footprint without losing any of the modern architecture charm. The middle floor in dark orange includes some clever problem-solving, like the legal-ish technique of wedging tiles between studs for the pillars on the right. In a video break-down Davide opens up the build and shares insights, like when to use SNOT building and how certain choices were made to accomodate gaps in his parts collection.
While Davide doesn’t need a reason to shrink sets, this model coincides with the LEGO Micro Build Tournament sponosred by Toys N Bricks that runs through April 1, 2025. Feel inspired? Shrink a set yourself and maybe you can win a copy of Tudor Corner!

“Arch” rival builds vie in Iron Forge [Feature]
The Iron Builder competition pits a veteran building champion against a challenger in a LEGO twist on the Iron Chef cooking show. But how does one become a challenger? One path is the Iron Forge competition, where everyone is invited to build and share models using the “seed part,” with the pool becoming a bracketed competition until one is chosen. The free-for-all phase just wrapped up, featuring the seed part of “any mudguard with only one wheel arch.” Here are a few that caught our eye.
