Hacim Bricks says he felt like building a purple flower. So he did. I feel like posting a purple flower. So I am. It’s really nicely done and well presented.

Unlocked
This one tricked me. Gilcelio built this very realistic padlock and hasp, put it on a lovely brick-built chest, and I didn’t realize it was LEGO until after I clicked on it. Very impressive. I love realistic, full-size recreations of everyday objects.
Ring ring ring
This antique telephone by Lee Young (edguy20) captures the ornate decorations that adorned such devices back in the day. However, it’s still quite a ways from the bending technology of the modern phone.
Think Through Build
Andrew Lee created this terrific word sculpture, which epitomizes the brick experience for many of us fans.
Titanfall EVA-8 Shotgun built with Lego
Nick Jensen (Nick Brick) adds to his ever impressive arsenal of sci-fi Lego weaponry with the Titanfall EVA-8 Shotgun that features a removable drum magazine, trigger, and sliding pump. Check out more photos on Flickr.
These LEGO Doctor Who Bookends Will Keep Your Books from Going All Wibbly-Wobbly
Adam Dodge traverses the intersection of awesome LEGO model and useful real-world object with this pair of Doctor Who-inspired bookends. I suspect many a Whovian will be drooling over Adam’s excellent creation.
The Gods Themselves Look Down Upon Us
“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” This oft-quoted nugget from Arthur C. Clarke is perfectly embodied in this otherworldly model by Nick V. (Brickthing). It’s not often that I’m blown away by the aesthetics of a spacecraft, but Nick is one of the best builders in the community, and has been tearing it up of late. This model, an alien “deity” worshipped by ancient humanity, à la Stargate, is a study in excellence.
To avoid making every other post here on Brothers Brick one of Nick’s new models, I’m also going to point out this stunning bonsai tree.
Now You Must Face the Future
It comes as no surprise that the dynamic duo Sean and Steph Mayo (Siercon and Coral) have yet again produced another stunning model that nudges the boundaries of building possibilities a little further out. The Intelligence, as this model is named, is inspired by the classic pin-art toy, and seems to be straight from the pages of a surrealism guidebook.
A Brick-built Schwibbogen for Christmas
Don’t worry if you don’t know what a Schwibbogen is – I didn’t either. As builder Robert H. kindly explains, it’s a type of traditional German Christmas decoration in the form of an ornate candle holder. Robert’s full-size LEGO Schwibbogen is modeled after a famous one, and depicts artisans at work.
Stirring Up Trouble
Jason Allemann (True Dimensions) has created this delightfully cute scene for the holidays. Jason has provided instructions for you to build a mouse of your own, and if you want to set out a plate of brick-food for Santa to snack on, the delicious-looking food should be easy to replicate.
LEGO New Era NY Yankees Cap by Orion Pax
Two from Yatkuu
When we last caught up with Belgian builder Gregory Coquelz (Yatkuu), Brother Chris was delivering the bad news that Gregory’s brilliant Shaun of the Dead Cuusoo project would not see production despite it’s overwhelming popularity. If you missed the posting the first time around it is definitely worth the read for a look at a the Cuusoo process. In the meantime, Mr. Coquelz has been busy building a great many things, including the “iPod Nano 3rd Gen.” you see here in a variety colors to suit your individual lifestyle.
I have to admit that aside from the Winchester, I wasn’t all that familiar with Gregory’s work so I took a stroll through his back catalog and found this gem from 2011, based on the 2009 film The Road. The minifigs are spot-on and so is the grocery cart.
Gregory also has a model of the giant mechanical lemon the band U2 used on it’s 1997 PopMart Tour, for those of you who are into that sort of thing.
