Do you hear that, readers? That’s the sound of Christmas getting ever closer! And what better way to count down to the big day than with day 12 of TBB’s LEGO advent calendar roundup? That’s just what we’re doing, so why not join us as we open up the City, Friends, Star Wars, Harry Potter and Marvel calendars on offer this year?

As ever, our intrepid TBB team is on hand with witty comments, insightful observations, and bad jokes for each day’s builds. And of course, you can add your own thoughts in the comments section each day! So without further ado, let’s crack open the build as we reach the halfway point of our advent adventure…

First Christmas tree klaxon! And it’s Friends that gets over the line first. It’s looking a little bare though. LEGO City’s gamer kid has a desk and PC to keep him entertained on Christmas day.

We get our second Christmas cosplayer of the Star Wars calendar, with a reindeer GNK droid to go with our Santa pit droid. It looks like a frozen fountain for today’s Harry Potter build, with a tool bench for Marvel.

Bart: Hooray for another Christmas tree!

Lino: Takes me back to that one year during childhood when the tree-topper was a butt paddle. It was a different time back then.

Ben: Ru-Gonk takes the crown today…

Daniel: While I do love the Gonk droid reindeer I think the tool bench and the computer desk are both really great set dressing ideas.

Kyle: I actually really like the desk setup. But, you can tell Star Wars wants the win for three in a row with that Gonk-deer.

60% of the calendars have now had a reindeer in one form or another (and unbelievably, that doesn’t include the animal-heavy Friends advent calendar). There might be a bit of a language barrier though. Do reindeer speak binary?
