2023 LEGO Advent Calendars, Day 7 [Feature]

Do you hear that, readers? That’s the sound of Christmas getting ever closer! And what better way to count down to the big day than with day 7 of TBB’s LEGO advent calendar roundup? That’s just what we’re doing, so why not join us as we open up the City, Friends, Star Wars, Harry Potter and Marvel calendars on offer this year?

As ever, our intrepid TBB team is on hand with witty comments, insightful observations, and bad jokes for each day’s builds. And of course, you can add your own thoughts in the comments section each day! So without further ado, let’s crack open the build for day 7…

We get a tiny lil’ gecko in Friends to add to our menagerie. Today’s City minifigure confirms our suspicions that yesterday was an ice sculpture. Art with a chainsaw? Now that’s cool!

More sweet treats in Harry Potter! They’re mobile this time. It’s a command centre for Star Wars to go with yesterday’s clone trooper. Black Widow brings us our second MCU-themed Christmas sweater.

Bart: More LEGO turds!

Lino: The widely versatile poo piece; is it poo or chocolate ice cream? You decide.

Daniel: Ahhhh, now the ice sculpture makes sense. I think having the minifig first may have been better. Black Widow in a holiday sweater, lol.

Ben: There’s only one thing better than a Christmas jumper today: the most adorable lizard!

Kyle: The Black Widow Xmas sweater is excellent, but the little lizard wins everything, including my heart!

Guys, not more poo chat! At least the Christmas sweater has provided some more high-brow discussion. Both the Marvel jumpers come with back printing, with the Avengers ‘A’ on the back of Black Widow’s, and Spider-man’s logo on the reverse of his. You can see them in this snow sculpting lesson.

I also took the helmet off of the skiing snowman from Lego City Day One– It honestly has a frightening appearance! I much prefer the snowman without the helmet, even though he lacks some eyes.
