2023 LEGO Advent Calendars, Day 2 [Feature]

Do you hear that, readers? That’s the sound of Christmas getting ever closer! And what better way to count down toward Christmas than with day 2 of TBB’s LEGO advent calendar roundup? Why not join us as we open up the City, Friends, Star Wars, Harry Potter and Marvel calendars on offer this year?

As ever, our intrepid TBB team is on hand with witty comments, insightful observations, and bad jokes for each day’s builds. And of course, you can add your own thoughts in the comments section each day! So without further ado, let’s crack open the build for day 2…

Ever got lost looking for Santa’s Village? Thankfully we have a sign to point the way in today’s City calendar. Friends is a rather grand archway.

The Quinjet has had a festive makeover in day 2 of the Marvel calendar! It’s a micro ship in Star Wars as well, in the form of Cad Bane’s Justifier. Harry Potter breaks the mould and gives us some sweet treats.

Lino: Day 2: Soak it in, ladies and gents.

Bart: My Bertie Bott’s Bean tastes like ear wax…

Ben: Just OK builds it is! At least City gives us a nice printed part, and credit to the designers of the ship builds as they’ve nailed the silhouettes.

Daniel: Wow… A table scrap arch… Lame. But Star Wars gives us an affordable version of the Justifier, so yay? The X-mas themed jet is OK.

Kyle: Given the coloration, I’m pretty sure that’s a mint-jet and not a Quinjet. While it’s always nice to get something from the trolley, Marvel wins on Day 2.

The Quinjet seems to be the highlight for our second day. Maybe that’s what Santa uses instead of a sleigh in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

    Sign: very nice!
Archway: “Look! It’s a lot of parts!”
    Quinjet: not bad!
Justifier: suggests a cross between a scorpion and a manta ray.
Sweets: looks like an attempt at a microscale city.

Winner: it should be Quinjet/mint-jet, but it’s about the holidays, so it’s actually the sign.
