Today LEGO has revealed the latest top-tier set from the Marvel Infinity Saga theme with 76210 Iron Man Hulkbuster. This massive model of Tony Stark’s indestructible mech stands 20.5 in. ( 52 cm) tall and contains 4,049 pieces. 76105 The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition came out in 2019 as a near-minifigure scale model, but this version is a significantly larger scale, though in the vein of many large display models from themes like Marvel and Star Wars, it includes a minifigure of Tony Stark that can be displayed along with the info placard. Tony can also be slotted into the gigantic mech. The Hulkbuster will retail for US $549.99 | CAN $699.99 | UK £474.99 when it’s available starting Nov. 4 for LEGO VIP members. General availability will follow on Nov. 9.

18 October 2022: Today, the LEGO® Group is excited to announce its latest LEGO Marvel Studios’™ Release – The Iron Man™ Hulkbuster™ set, featuring Iron Man as he appeared in the mega-hit film Infinity Saga – Age of Ultron.
Consisting of 4,049 pieces and standing at 52 cm tall, the LEGO Hulkbuster is impressive in size, and boasts and incredible amount of detail. The red and gold set depicts the MK44 – the 44th version of the Iron Man suit and features posable arms, a light brick on the chest, two light bricks on the hands. There is also an accessible cockpit, which can fit the LEGO kid’s version of Iron Man inside (SKU 76206). The set also includes a Tony Stark minifigure and an info stand for the separator to be displayed on.

Who is this set supposed to be for? They already had a Hulkbuster set as recently as 2018 and I never got the impression that it was a particularly hot seller…but now they’re coming out with a $550 version? I think this is a big misread of the audience on Lego’s part, but maybe it’s just me.
Am I the only one who thinks the torso on this missed the mark. I feel like it barely looks like the movie version it is supposed to replicate.
Bizarre that it’s basically a big box to put 76206’s brick-built Iron Man into. I mean, neat in theory, but this is a VERY expensive set to have the entire torso looking so wrong (Shoulders are also shaped wrong, and the head shouldn’t be sunken into the torso, and…).
