Spring 2022 LEGO Speed Champions sets revealed, including Lamborghini Countach, Ferrari 512 and more [News]

Today we’re getting our first look at the Spring 2022 wave of LEGO Speed Champions thanks to German retailer JB Spielwaren. The new lineup of 8-stud-wide cars includes both old classics like the Lamborghini Countach and new supercars like the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro. The sets are slated to be available March 1.

    Yeah the box art shows a night race, hence the headlamps on. The pic of the car on a white background with headlamps on isn’t on the Lego retail site, maybe someone else cropped it from the box art?

    The new slope piece looks super useful, and it appears that the headlamps are printed on, not stickers! (on the Lotus, both Astons, and the AMG Project One). I guess that makes sense as the surface is a compound curve.

    Is that a new cockpit windscreen piece on the Aston Martin Valkyrie?

    Really looking forward to these. Speed Champs almost always present way better in person than in photos, in my opinion. It’s so hard to get the swoopy, low-slung supercar shapes at this scale and still allow for minifigs. That Aston set is $39.99 in the US, by the way.
