Happy holidays to all of our fellow LEGO builders! As is tradition, we at The Brothers Brick will be opening our advent calendars as we count down to Christmas. We’ll also be sharing commentary on each one, which we hope will provide insight and hilarity to your holiday season!
This year we have new Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel, City and Friends advent calendars to open. We will be sharing images of the new calendars every day through Christmas, and hope that you’ll join us! Let’s see what there is to open on Day 16.
If you’re familiar with Season 1 of The Mandalorian, you’ll recognize the droid cargo sled that we opened in today’s Star Wars build. Harry Potter’s advent day had nothing buildable but still a lot of fun minifigure accessories and an owl! However, Marvel’s Iron SnowMan was the best part of today’s builds by far.
The City build for today was a fluorescent-colored train, which was fun. The Friends calendar gave us a Christmas book, a chair and a radical flaming marshmallow mug!
Bart: This snowman looks like they are ready to fight global warming.
CJ: “I am Sno-Man!”. I’m not really up on the Potter stuff, but isn’t that one of the randomized 2×2 tiles? I wonder if they’re also random in the calendar. Anyone pull someone different? (Looked it up, apparently the tiles are indeed random in the Potter set.) Also, I love that that included the “flaming marshmallow” mug – that’s among my all-time favorite printed parts.
Adam: I agree on the flaming marshmallow mug! It’s adorable! I’m also a fan of the droid sled. Simple, yet made with a lot of cool parts. And hooray for brightly-colored trains!
Chris: Today is pretty boring for Star Wars and Harry Potter, but I do love seeing how many unique snowmen/women LEGO can make, and the Snow Ironman is pretty great. Plus that white helmet looks fun for other uses. The little Friends reading nook is fun, too. I’m not quite sure what that City train (or is it a truck?) is pulling—wait, is this a Tractor Pull?
