Happy holidays to all of our fellow LEGO builders! As is tradition, we at The Brothers Brick will be opening our advent calendars as we count down to Christmas. We’ll also be sharing commentary on each one, which we hope will provide insight and hilarity to your holiday season!
This year we have new Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel, City and Friends advent calendars to open. We will be sharing images of the new calendars every day through Christmas, and hope that you’ll join us! Let’s see what there is to open on Day 2.
Today’s builds consist of a bounty hunter starfighter from Star Wars, a Harry Potter minifigure, and a bunch of blue energy pieces from Marvel. Though not specifically holiday-themed, the Harry Potter minifigure stands out as being exclusive to the advent calendar, so don’t expect to see him anywhere else.
For City, we built a
shower car wash. From Friends, we built a robotic snowman with a pink controller.
Chris: I always find it interesting when a LEGO Advent calendar door contains only accessories. I get why they do it, but it just feels wrong, because there’s no build and you can’t play with it on its own. That being said, I really like these blast effects.
Ed: Pack of blast effects in an advent calendar. I feel a tiny bit cheated.
CJ: A bag ‘o accessories makes for a decent gift, I guess. And the robotic snowman is a really great idea. The micro car wash is…kind of a wash.
Bart: Who doesn’t want a remote-controlled snowman on wheels?
Daniel: It’s nice to see a Star Wars ship that isn’t completely recognizable… Especially a ship that got about 30 seconds of screen time on a television series.
Even though we griped about the energy blast effects, we still managed to enjoy them.
Let us know in the comments what kinds of fun you had with today’s sets! And join us tomorrow for Day 3 of the 2021 LEGO Advent Calendar!

Our calendar has a miniature of Hogwarts for day two, are there different versions of this year’s calendar?
