Today, LEGO is taking the wraps off the sole entry to the Speed Champions fall 2019 lineup, 75895 1974 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0. Although we previously got a small glimpse of the model in the 2019 catalog, we’ve now got all the official details and photos for the set. Retailing for $14.99, the set will have 180 pieces and is slated to be available Aug. 1.
Many of you will recognize this 911 Turbo model, since it first appeared last year in lime green as part of the two-car set 75888 Porsche 911 RSR and 911 Turbo 3.0. We thought the model was quite good when we reviewed that set, although we thought the car is just a little bit too long, but be sure to check out the full review for a deeper dive.
The driver is all-new, however, sporting a t-shirt emblazoned with the Porsche crest, beneath a leather jacket. You’ll also get an exciting three orange road cones to set up your own slalom.

It is a bit too long, but it is also easy to modify to be one stud shorter.
Should have made it a 1974 Carrera, with no fin, a real back window, and maybe a removal top.
some black wheel inserts are the finishing touch for this model. i doubt lego will go this route, but if theyj’re gonna be reissuing certain models in new colors, the ford gt40 (gulf livery) and mini cooper (british racing green) would top my list.
Guys, they’re re-releasing the set because the lime green one is a retired set and I think this is supposed to be the Barn Find in Forza Horizon 4, so they will re-release it to make money off of people who want to buy the car after they have it in-game.
can’t speak to the Forza connection, but the original set definitely isn’t retired yet.
one more vote for the GT40 in Gulf colours
I’m still amazed at some of the clunky details in this model. The squared fender tops at the front, the contrasting color ugliness of the “+” piece of technic axle just in front of the front fenders.
