Clocking in at 3,178 pieces and twelve minifigures, the hero set is the largest of the 20 LEGO sets based on the upcoming sequel. Welcome to Apocalypseburg! retails for US $299.99, CA $399.99, and UK £279.99.

Wonder how they landed on this price. I understand the whole piece count vs. product weight theory, but this set is 3,178 piece for $299, compared to the 4,867-piece Ninjago City for $299 and the 3,553-piece Ninjago Docks for $229. Even accounting for Ninjago’s many water tiles, the similarly priced Ninjago City clearly has way more pieces.
That being said, this set still looks fantastic and I will likely be adding it to my collection at some point :).
