For the past 6 years, The Brothers Brick has joined with several LEGO clubs in the Pacific Northwest to put on a huge display of pop culture-themed creations at Emerald City Comicon in Seattle, which will be taking place at the Washington State Convention Center next week, March 2-5.
Most ECCC tickets are sold out at this point, but if you’re among the tens of thousands of people who’ll be there over the course of the 4-day event, be sure to check out Brick Nation located the lower level across the street from the main WSCC entrance, featuring creations by many of your favorite TBB contributors. The Brick Nation display will be bigger than ever this year, with over 3,000 square feet of LEGO creations, other LEGO-themed activities, life-sized Star Wars sculptures and more.
There is an amazing group of local builders participating in the event along with us, including members from the following LEGO Users Groups (LUGs):
The Brothers Brick: A number of the Seattle-area staff from The Brothers Brick will be displaying creations. Be sure to stop by and say hello!
SEALUG: One of the largest LUGs in North America, SEALUG has an incredibly talented group of builders from all around the Seattle and Puget Sound area. Meetings are on the first Saturday each month, usually at a local library.
SquatchLUG: A very informal group that meets in the far northern reaches of Washington. They meet in a pub or restaurant only when they want to, and the only club rule is that you have to apologize if you bring up any official business.
PSLTC: Another large LUG in the Puget Sound area focused on exhibiting LEGO-built trains and cities. Every year for ECCC, their display transforms into Superhero City, where your favorite characters from Marvel and DC comics fight to defend their city.
ArchLUG: A LUG focused on architectural and Castle-themed building, as well as large collaborative displays. In the past years, they have displayed a massive Mouse Guard layout.
SPSLUG: The Pacific Northwest has so many LEGO fans, that this year, ECCC will also feature creations from members of SPSLUG, a newly formed LUG specifically for AFOLs in the southern Puget Sound area around Tacoma and Olympia. The more, the merrier!
As noted above, Brick Nation will be in the lower level across the street from the main convention entrance. Here’s a map, and we hope to see you there!
