A heart-breaking tale

One of the Categories for the Colossal Castle Contest is Fairy Tales–and Scrat has chosen to illustrate the Danish tale The Little Match Girl by Hans Christian Andersen. In the vein of many original fairy tales, this is a sad, sad story. Scrat’s rendition captures the melancholy atmosphere perfectly:

    More corrections:
    1) “Scratch has chosen” not “chose”.
    2) His name is Hans Christian Andersen, not Anderson.
He was not in “The Matrix”. :)

Well not that we know of…

I’ve read a lot of Olde Grimms and Hans Christian Andersen but never read the Little Match girl. I have to say that it is easilly the most morbidly depressing tale I’ve heard if only for the simple bleakness of her short and unpleasant life.

Great build/ use of mime parts.
That said, the longer this stays at the top of TBB, the more sad I’m getting, just before Christmas! :’S
