Nothing beats a good cup of tea... Except maybe a great LEGO build

At the risk of sounding excessively British: there is no problem that can’t be solved over a good cup of tea. My preference is for English Breakfast (strong, milk, two sugars), but that maxim doesn’t need to be restricted to certain types of tea! For Taj: Brick Minstrel‘s slice of Arabian life, chai is the drink of choice. And now we know what the tea is, we need to know what the tea is. (I gather that’s what the kids are calling gossip these days.) Are these three discussing matters of science, or economics, or politics, or philosophy? Or are they discussing more serious matters, such as how far you could walk barefoot on LEGO bricks?i

The land of llamas looks lovely in LEGO

Join us on a journey to the Andes Mountains, courtesy of Taj: Brick Minstrel. Travel is treacherous when you’re this high up, eye-to-eye with the clouds. A rickety bridge is the only thing connecting this gap between mountain peaks. And both a llama shepherd and a Chasqui messenger have to make it across, going in opposite directions. We’re positive all involved are surefooted enough, but I’m glad I’m not the one responsible for getting those llamas to market. This build pays lovely tribute to a long past time in a place we’d all be stunned to see in person. Just maybe while wearing a safety harness.

NovHENber hatched a new challenge, now let’s count the LEGO chickens! [Feature]

This November saw a new LEGO challenge: NovHENber. Participants were invited to build chickens during the month, and many AFOLs answered the call. With the last chickens hatched, we checked in with builders behind the challenge – Syrdarian and Carson Lacy – and cooped up all the hens from the inaugural event.
