BrickCon is returning for its 23rd year, as the longest-running fan-run LEGO convention and a newly-formed nonprofit. So it makes sense that this year’s theme is “Foundations,” reflecting its new charitable goals that revolve around STEM education. But also in keeping with that theme, this year’s show will boast a dedicated exhibit for those old sets that continue to inspire us today. The convention returns to the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, WA on September 5th through 8th, with public viewing days on the 7th and 8th. And as always, adult builder and fans can count on plenty of presentations, games, activities, roundtables, shopping opportunities, and of course displaying for the 12,000 LEGO fans that take in the hall full of builds. Registration is now open, so be sure to visit brickcon.org to get signed up ASAP.
BrickCon has partnered with the same hotels as last year, Courtyard by Marriott and Hotel 116, which have special rates for the event. Rooms in the convention block start at $189 and $129 per night, respectively.
The Brothers Brick is proud to be a sponsor of BrickCon. Read the full press release from BrickCon below.

New ‘Foundations’ on the horizon…
The premier LEGO convention of the Pacific Northwest is back for our 23rd year! Once again, the show will be at the Meydenbauer Center Sept. 5-8, with the public viewing days Sept. 7-8. Every year BrickCon welcomes over 450 convention attendees that create over 1000 amazing Lego exhibits. Last year’s show was the first time the convention was held in Bellevue, and was a tremendous success, with all of the AFOL attendees, vendors, exhibits, activities, speeches and a whopping sold out public hours with over 12,000 enthusiastic fans coming to see all the models.
Foundations
This year’s theme is Foundations, and comes with a double meaning. BrickCon is celebrating the formation of the BrickCon Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to using STEM to educate and enrich the lives of children through LEGO bricks. At the same time, we will celebrating the iconic sets that Adult Fans of Lego consider foundational to the hobby. The convention will feature a special exhibit of these sets with contributions from AFOL attendees.

“BrickCon has partnered with the same hotels as last year, Courtyard by Marriott and Hotel 116, which have special rates for the event. Rooms in the convention block start at $189 and $129 per night, respectively”: this is, definitely, not an event for the poor, let alone for children.
