Do you hear that, readers? That’s the sound of Christmas getting ever closer! And what better way to count down to the big day than with day 15 of TBB’s LEGO advent calendar roundup? That’s just what we’re doing, so why not join us as we open up the City, Friends, Star Wars, Harry Potter and Marvel calendars on offer this year?

As ever, our intrepid TBB team is on hand with witty comments, insightful observations, and bad jokes for each day’s builds. And of course, you can add your own thoughts in the comments section each day! So without further ado, let’s crack open the build for day 15…

It’s LEGO City’s turn to get in on the animal action with a cat and coffee table combo. For the Friends calendar, it’s an oven. I guess these pampered pets like a hot meal.

In the licensed calendars, we get a barrel of (presumably) butterbeer for Harry Potter and co.; an arc reactor plinth for Marvel; and a microscale Ewok village in the galaxy far, far away.

Kyle: Oh fer cute!!! How can anything else compete with a micro-Ewok village?

Lino: Finally, a keg! Also micro Ewok village FTW.

Ben: The Ewok village is brilliant. The Star Wars Calendar series never ceases to amaze with the micro offerings.

Daniel: The wood pizza oven is actually pretty great! And the cat with a tiny tree is really fun. But I do think micro Ewok village wins.

Bart: At first I thought the Ewok village was a Friends cat scratch pole mini build.

Another day, another clear win for Star Wars! I suppose it could double as a big cat scratch pole – I was wondering if that’s what the City build was at first. I hope Ewoks don’t eat cat though.
