This mighty Komatsu with 250-ton trailer can move your whole LEGO collection with ease

People who design and build massive, powerful, yet very accurate LEGO trucks are unlike any of us, ordinary minifigure collectors. Look at Beat Felber. I bet he doesn’t even bother purchasing any LEGO wheels smaller than enormous 84mm’s that his newest Komatsu HD785-5 runs on. And it’s not even truck’s best feature.

The show starts when Komatsu grabs its colossal trailer. This exactly the piece of equipment you’d need to move heavy dozers and excavators around the site. And this is exactly what Komatsu does in a short presentation video.

The couple runs on four Power Functions remote-controlled motors, and it’s fully autonomous. The geometry of the truck’s chassis is quite peculiar, hence unconventional motors’ positioning. Stunning machine, for sure!

I worked on mine sites using these machines in Northern Alberta, Canada while planting trees in the oil sands and this Lego version is truly as impressive as the real things.
