    And Ninjago City Docks is already sold out! I missed grabbing this at full price and would have been thrilled to get it at this price. I wonder if this means that this set is completely out of production now? I assume so.

    If something’s “out of stock” online, you can try calling customer service. The system apparently marks it out when stock is low (but still existent). Customer service can see the actual status and place an order for you if it’s still available. (Speaking from experience earlier today.)

    @Brad:
    It varies by set, since I’m sure the Disney train isn’t being retired this soon after launch, but both Ninjago City and Ninjago City Docks (is only one on sale?), as well as the Apollo mission have been reported as retiring soon. In those cases, when they get a Black Friday discount, that’s pretty much going to blow out their remaining stock. If you see it discounted, and you want it, and you can swing the expense, either buy it or accept that the next time you see it listed it might be 50% over MSRP on the secondary market.

    I tried phoning Shop@Home, but they told me the inventory they see is the same as what is on the website. They did offer to check local store inventory, which was nice. Neither Ninjago City modular set is flagged as Retiring Soon yet, but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen sets move quickly from in-stock to retiring to out of stock.

    So it goes! Just the (minor) anguish of missing a good deal. :)

    Well these deals are region based on where you are in the world as the ninjago Dock is NOT on offer in the UK in the black friday sales. Instead the Ninjago City is for £181 pounds again supply online is showing as out of stock but try your local lego store.
