Do you call the University of Colorado Boulder (UC) your alma mater? If so, you might recognize this LEGO version of the Koenig Alumni Center, built by Imagine Rigney as a permanent display at the center. The Alumni Center hosts events like graduation ceremonies, weddings, retreats, and memorial services. Imagine Rigney did extensive research, using original photographs and blueprints to guide his build. The finished product looks both lively and colorful, packed full of fun details for CU alumni to enjoy.
With each viewing angle, you are sure to see something new. From this side, the “Forever Buffs” inflatable entrance is visible. When it comes to roofing, plates and hinges have been used to pull off some interesting angles.
CU’s official mascot is a buffalo, and you can catch a glimpse of the animal in front of the building. You can easily spot the buffalo, thanks to the crowd of minifigures surrounding it.
Heading over to the gazebo reveals an adorable wedding ceremony. The bridesmaids and groomsmen are even wearing matching outfits!
Nearby, a group of graduates quietly meanders toward the main building. Greenery growing throughout the campus is simple, yet effective. Trees, flowers and shrubs of varying sizes breathe life into the scene, making the Koenig Alumni Center feel warm and welcoming. School spirit and LEGO spirit were made for each other.
Very cool. Used to walk by that building every day!
