LEGO Ninjago 70657 NINJAGO City Docks revealed [News]

The success of the last year’s LEGO NinjaGo 70620 NINJAGO City exclusive set has proved that LEGO fans – both young and adult – are ready for huge and elaborate LEGO sets expanding the boundaries of the regular line-ups. Even though The LEGO Ninjago Movie premiered last September, the second direct-to-consumer set is just to be released this Summer. LEGO Ninjago 70657 NINJAGO City Docks has been recently listed in certain online stores, and now we’re having the first look at the next addition to the amazing City of Ninjago. unfortunately, there’s still no information about the pieces count or the price of the set, but we expect it to be around $250/250€.

The build is fully modular, containing several modules with detailed interiors. Additionally, the back of the box proves that 70657 NINJAGO City Docks can be attached to 70620 NINJAGO City just like the LEGO Creator Modular buildings form one street.

Just like the LEGO Ninjago 70620 Ninjago City set, 70657 NINJAGO City Docks includes an unusually large number of minifigures. Among 15 different characters we can easily spot both the main characters of the movie (like Llyod and Garmadon) and some regular citizens.

Some additional pictures are below, although it is obvious that the set contains some crazy amount of details and touches by the designing team. The Brothers Brick team can’t wait to bring you the review of set as soon as possible, so stay tuned!

I’m glad that Ninjago City is getting an expansion, but, compared to Ninjago City, it feels lackluster.

Some of those regular citizens are actually well known characters:

    New casual version of Cole
    Lil’ Nelson

@Jai Yes, I believe it’s the same cast piece that was introduced last year in Heartlake Hospital.

Wow, it’s almost as ugly as the modular diner! Except that it fits with the other set it’s meant to go with, so in that sense it’s much better.
