Diorama from Planet of the Apes

Keith Goldman‘s latest diorama depicts a scene from Planet of the Apes. The rocky cliff and caves are beautiful to look at, especially with the added color texture created from using dark bley and gray. You can see more detail shots on Flickr, where each picture seems to have its own story to tell.

This is magnificent. The rocks are superb. i’ve never seen anyone treat rock this way! The plants and the vehicle trails are neat details. Keep it up!

agreed the rock surfaces are sublime. I thought it was layers of paper for a moment -then I realized it’s KG.

Bah, I was too slow to do a planet of the Ape Costume guy MoC. Amazing work Keith. More than the technique I love the composition. There’s a huge amount of brown and grey but object placement and form breaks up the color so nicely. Also immensely jealous of that hockey armor. You always seem to find the coolest obscure pieces for your work.
