I recently finished reading Arthur C. Clarke’s very early Islands in the Sky (published in 1952), full of both prescient hits and blind misses.
Catarino has perfectly captured in microscale LEGO the look of retro-future space stations I imagined as I read Clarke’s science fiction.

The choice of background color in the photo and the text really one-up’d the MOC if it were by itself against white or black.
The simplicity of the microscale model looks aesthetically pleasing in this MOC. It’s a nice break from all the large ships and space scenes with the greebles that seem to envelope the entire scene (if you’ve seen too many).
Very cool stuff indeed.
