Any longer out on that road and I’m one of them, a terminal psychotic...

Building from inspiration unlikely to result in any official sets for his day job, Adam “MisterZumbi” Grabowski gives Mad Max the LEGO treatment.

I think this is great overall. Fig is awesome the dog is too. The car has some great features like the engine the exhaust pipes and the whole back is just great and very close to the real car from the movies; but it just feels a little to clunky and boxy. None the less it captures it amazingly.

Fantastic build. Captures the spirit of Max perfectly, and the details (particularly the red bandana on the dog) are all spot-on.

“I believe this is actually giving “The Road Warrior” the Lego treatment.”

Getting more technical, it depends where you are. As the original “Mad Max” didn’t get much of a release in the US and as such audiences weren’t familiar with it, “Mad Max 2” (as the sequel to Mad Max is known everywhere else in the world) was renamed “The Road Warrior” for the US market.

So, “Mad Max” is right . . . from a certain point of view ;)

I noticed this in Adam’s BrickShelf yesterday, and was really impressed! Though I haven’t seen “Mad Max,” I do however love cars and the post apocalyptic theme in general, so this is a wicked combination. :D

I’ve been wanting to do this one for a long time. Well done, Mr Zumbi!
@ Obxcrew: Off to the video rental with you, lad. And do yourself a favor: Take #1 and 2, but NOT #3. I am still trying to forget it, Tina and all.
