Nelic73 has built a very detailed recreation of the famous statue of Christ that overlooks the city of Rio de Janeiro. The detailing on the face and the folds of the robe is first-rate.
I didn’t know until just now that this statue is the largest Art Deco statue in the world. I guess you do learn something new everyday.

Actually, now, there are at least two higher monuments of Christ in the world. One is in Poland: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christ_the_King_(statue)
Second one in Peru: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cristo_del_Pacífico
Anyway, the sculpture is really amazing.

It’s an impressive build, but I can’t help but wonder: does it eliminate anarchy and the wait between civic/religious changes?

@Gabry – As Thanel said, I was referring to the Art Deco bit. Actually, according to the Wikipedia article, this is the fifth tallest statue of Jesus.
@Catsy – It would be a truly impressive MOC if it did. But then it would highlighted in more places than TBB. ;)

I have to say I am supremely jealous. I have had this on my “radar” for an MOC for quite some time, and I’m afraid I would not be able to nearly do it justice.
Btw, the actual statue in person is astonishing.
