In a surprise follow-up to his Bugs of Hallownest series (see our summary here), creature builder extraordinaire Joss Ivanwood (jayfa_mocs) presents the final boss of the original Hollow Knight entry. We’re once again captivated by how well he was able to capture this character, which is also perfectly to scale with the other buggy builds. Joss shared a few unique parts easter eggs, including using fabric wing membranes from the Harry Potter thestral and a rare neon orange Bionicle mask tucked within. He also teased the potential for Silksong characters in the future, and we can’t wait to see what he builds next.

Brickbot gits gud and builds a silky brick Hornet that sings
The much-anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong is out and inspiring more builders to create LEGO models of Team Cherry’s beautiful insectoid world. Brickbot_studio came in early with a build of protagonist Hornet done in his signature brickbot style. The MVP element are the claw modules used for Hornet’s antennae and pointed feet, but Brennen’s secret weapons are the uncannily perfect stickers used for Hornet’s eyes, taken from the Koenigsegg Jesko Speed Champions set.
With so many incredible new bosses and locations, I’m sure we’ll see many more Silksong builds in the months to come.
Four incredible character builds to celebrate the release of Hollow Knight: Silksong!
What better way to celebrate the long-awaited release of Hollow Knight: Silksong than with new MOCs from an amazing LEGO artist? Joss Ivanwood (jayfa_mocs) shared a new character build from the first Hollow Knight game in the 4 days of September leading up to the release of Silksong and we’ve wrangled them all for you to enjoy.
For day 1 Joss shared the player character The Knight, as well as his alternate persona: The Knight’s Shade.
The scale is lovely (especially in context with the other character builds), and the cape usage captures his flowing movement perfectly. I especially love the intentionality of using just two pieces to represent his iconic Nail.
