Mini Tirith, City of Mini Kings

Just last month we posted a roundup of some of the incredible creations from Joe (jnj_bricks), including a Minas Tirith build that cleverly uses force perspective akin to the Peter Jackson films. Apparently not content with wow-ing us with just one Minas Tirith build, Joe is back again with a smaller but equally impressive build of the White City. He shared that everything here is fully connected, and we think the smooth lineup of the cheese slopes used predominantly throughout the shaping of this build give it a very polished look.

An aerial view reveals the Court of the Fountain, which cleverly uses a turntable base atop a green plate to nearly identically recreate the courtyard’s appearance in the films and art from Alan Lee.

Middle-earth meets Cyberpunk 2077 in this LEGO mashup

The location of Minas Tirith in the epic fantasy adventure The Lord of the Rings is certainly one of the most iconic cities in Middle-earth, so it makes perfect sense to me that Grant Decker would choose to combine it with Night City from Cyberpunk 2077 as a source of inspiration for this build in the cyberpunk mashup category for a LEGO building contest. A cyborg version of Gandalf rides a silver and white speeder bike, standing in for Shadowfax, while a multi-layered holographic highway divides the city into two sections, just like the massive stone blade that gave the steward Denethor such a fantastic end.

Magnificent Minas Tirith in Microscale

Minas Tirith, the White City, capital of Gondor, is one of the most recognizable locations from the Lord of the Rings series. From its many levels to the distinctive knife-edged stone dividing the city into two halves, and the massive rock face it was carved from. While it may be easy to recognize, it is not so easy to build, and Mountain Hobbit has done a masterful job of bringing this iconic city to life in microscale.

One of my favorite features is the gently curving outer wall, which features random studs, and an assortment of plates and tiles with some great offsets to give the wall a truly weathered look. The many subtly tinted slopes for roofs are a nice touch.
