LEGO Mid-century modern house is the definition of design

I am pretty sure this mid-century modern LEGO house by Sarah Beyer may be my entire personality right now. The attention to mid-mod detail doesn’t stop with the house’s design, or with the great exterior features and landscaping. The interior is filled with period-appropriate furniture, all assembled with great building techniques. Sarah calls the house Endeavour, in honor of the British TV series of the same name, which inspired her with insights into 1960s interior design. (If you haven’t watched Endeavour, put it on your watchlist, along with it’s in-universe friends Inspector Morse and Inspector Lewis.)

Spare me your curves. I would argue that pool design has gone backwards from the angular mid-modern style seen in Sarah’s model.

Sarah assembles perfect period-appropriate furuniture from a minimum of parts. If you’d like to try building a cabinet like the one seen here, Sarah shares instructions.

Exposed studs represent what I assume to be a shag rug. “Good boy, sit.”

The living room looks quite cozy. I wonder if the resident of this house shares the same reading interests as Inspector Morse?

Very nice model. Endeavour, Inspector Morse and Lewis are not BBC series, they were made for the commercial network ITV.

That model is brilliant. Overall the shape and proportions are spot-on. My only knicks would be that the front door doesn’t look Mid/Mod, the carport and driveway should be 4-6 studs wider than the front walk, and the landscape design should be more deliberate and organized, especially around the pool area. Otherwise, the interior and exterior are fantastic!
