LEGO just unveiled the latest adult playset from Star Wars featuring Darth Vader’s Meditation Chamber. The set comes with 663 pieces, a Darth Vader and General Veers minifigure. The set is available for preorder now (limit of 2 pieces per order) and retailing at US $69.99 | CAN $99.99 | UK £59.99 and will ship on August 1st 2021.
The scene is recreated from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and also features the play function that’s capable of opening and closing of the chamber, a rotating seat for Darth Vader and a place for General Veers to stand guard. It also comes with a nameplate making this an elegant display set at the home or office. It measures over 7 in. (18 cm) high, 6.5 in. (16 cm) wide and 7.5 in. (19 cm)
I saw this earlier today for $100 CDN, and even after looking at all of the pics, it seemed pretty skimpy for $100. Suspicion confirmed – it’s only $70 US (approximately $85 CDN). Steep markup north of the border : (
Oh. Well, that’s… way more mediocre than I’d anticipated. Doesn’t seem like it’ll be any more impressive after seeing it in action, either.
