Painting with LEGO

The style of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian lends itself well to being reproduced in LEGO, but the mesmerizing new video by Cheesy Bricks takes this to another level.

[WARNING: contains classical music]

Thanks to Martin Long for bringing this to my attention, via The Brickish Association.

This is stunningly well done, down to the brush strokes having to be done twice to leave the wanted amount of paint on the canvas. I smiled all the way through.

^Well, I do know some people who find classical music pretty objectionable, so it only seemed fair ;-)

I really was mesmerized watching this. It’s wonderfully done.

That was fantastic, very clever. Loved the brush strokes, but the exaggerated sound effects of the paint tubes made me crack up each time.
