This mask was up for grabs in a multi-site contest, designed to welcome back the Bionicle theme. Each of the sites involved ran a contest and the winners went head-to-head for the grand-prize.
Breann Sledge won the gold mask with this highly detailed bad boy, Akutahn the Makuta of Okoto. I think I detect a bit of Breann’s Alaskan roots in that name. Standing over 20 inches tall and loaded with all the awesome detailing and posability that we expect from Breann, this top-notch villain is totally a winner.
Check out the other incredible finalists after the break!
Hysleria by Mitch is loaded with lots of cool eye-candy. While it says ‘hero’ rather than ‘villain’ to me, this is one incredible model.
Terror Bite by IGU really made me smile. I love the use of the old T-rex. The builder also combined Chima pieces, Hero Factory and Bionicle bits into this crazy, fire-wielding monster!
Makuta Nakken by Launcher has a very unique shape. This sinuous, hovering villain has an other-worldly vibe going on.
Dark Fang Warlord by Cid Hsiao is made of a cool mix of ancient japan and pacific islander motifs. I couldn’t find out the builder’s name but they did an incredible job. If you know the builder, please leave their name in the comments.
Diatan by Peter Bionicle is a lovely study in angles. The lines and flow of this elegant villain really make him pop.
HI I’m the builder of Shadow Roar, Warlord of the Darkfang Tribe!
I’m glad that my moc was post on this website!
@Cid – Thank you! The post has been edited.
