I realize the creator labeled his photographs as TigerMoth, but the de Haviland Tiger Moth is a biplane not a monoplane.

@Robert – You are correct about the De Haviland. However, I don’t believe the builder was trying to recreate that particular airplane, as he mostly builds Steampunk, which he says this is.

Hello. Just wanted to say thanks to TBB for showing the model, and thanks for the comments too.

As Josh says, this is not supposed to be a “proper” Tiger Moth. In the alternate history in my head, this plane was unusual in that it was predominantly wood and canvas rather than Cavorite-supported steel and iron. This would allow it to gain altitude above airships and drop incendiary bombs into the gas envelope. However, the name “Tiger Moth” is just too cool, so I had to use it.

I hope it’s sturdy, because I’d have to do a couple of laps around the house with it before putting it on display! :D

A photo of this over some countryside would also be very cool.
