Photo review of 7036 Dwarves’ Mine on BrickZone.net

The newest Castle set, 7036 Dwarves’ Mineicon, is starting to show up in stores and online. For those of us cursed to live near the end of The LEGO Company’s supply chain, we have the BrickZone.net photo review to make us jealous of the rest of you.

Of particular note is the fact that the two new beard pieces are wrap-arounds with ponytails on the back!

I’m going to be gravely disappointed if I don’t get this for my birthday next week…

Lovin’ the helmets, lovin’ the beards, lovin’ the troll – EXTREMELY cool idea to give him minifig leg-clutching hands!

But why oh why do we have to wait until 2008 for this goodness? Wouldn’t it be smarter for Lego to release ’em before the Holidays?

Note: I live in the Netherlands, hence my disappointment at not being able to buy this set yet.

@RichardAM: I was thinking exactly the same thing!
The beard with the two braids in the front, and one of those wing-less helmets, seem to be MADE for creating a Gimli minifig.

Why wait? I just got back from my local Target store (Bozeman, MT, USA) and they had this in stock along with three other models that seem to be the Target Special Edition Holiday line.

Also, there is a lego tie in to the movie Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium. It’s $20 and you get what looks like the equivalent of a couple of those little $5 Creator sets.

We have to wait cos it’s not available in our country. Yet. :( “To be released April 2008”, it tells us poor Dutch people.

Can you tell me more about that movie tie-in Lego? Sounds interesting.

Nothing too exciting. The movie is about a toy store, so several different toys have been branded with the movie logo. The Lego one advertises that you can make 9 different models, if I recall correctly. They’re all little things like you’d find in the advent calendar, or those creator Pods. Sorry to hear you guys have to wait for this stuff, I know how annoying it can be when we have to wait, like with the Vikings sets last year.
