TBB NEWS AND REVIEWS Anime fans have a lot to get excited about this week, with the long-anticipated reveal of the first wave of sets from the Netflix live-action adaptation: One Piece, one of the longest-running anime series in history. The launch of the theme features a full range of sets, from small to gigantic, and, of course, they’re full of custom minifigures. TBB NEWS AND REVIEWS This week was light on reviews, but big on set reveals, with new sets announced for City, featuring a full loop train track! Harry Potter, Minecraft, and Ninjago announced new sets, including a pretty epic green dragon. We also saw a new set announced that I hope will be the first of many book nook folding scenes from literary favorites, starting with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s master detective, Sherlock Holmes. TBB NEWS AND REVIEWS This week was Star Wars Celebration in Japan, so it should be no surprise that much of our news and review content centered on a galaxy far, far away — from the latest UCS set to a buildable K-2SO just in time for Season 2 of the hit series Andor on Disney+.

New Star Wars sets revealed this week include an updated U-wing, more helmets, everyone’s favorite war criminal, Chopper, and an update to the most notorious firespray gunship in the galaxy. These smaller versions of popular characters seem to be a sign of LEGO learning from past mistakes like the oversized and overpriced Black Panther bust. While not as ominous and imposing as Barad-dûr, or as majestic as Rivendell, the Shire is certainly one of the most memorable locations, featured in both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and the location features prominently in the opening part of both stories. This week heralds the return of another feature to The Brothers Brick, the custom minifig! We also brought you another chapter on creative tree-building techniques using the green antler element. The fan community has gone wild with speculation of what LEGO will come up with, and we’ll have to wait until 2026 to find out.
