Find solace by the bonfire with these amazing LEGO Dark Souls builds

The dark fantasy worlds of FromSoftware’s games have been a huge influence for many AFOLs with their bold character designs, ornate gear, and haunting medieval settings. Builder panc4kez has been creating LEGO models inspired by From’s genre-defining Dark Souls, which perfectly translate the game’s aesthetics into brick form. After months of individual construction, Dark Sun Gwyndolin, The Nameless King, and Dragon Slayer Ornstein appear together in LEGO.

Dark Souls Core

An optional boss in Dark Souls, Gwyndolin was born to the sun god but was strong with the powers of the moon, becoming God of the Dark Sun. Panc4kez captures the mix of beauty in horror inherent to the character, from the Crown of the Dark Sun down to the snakes that spill from the god’s body. The blending of System and Technic elements in the robes is outstanding.

Dark Sun Gwyondolin

The Nameless King is the firstborn child of Gwyn, Lord of Sunlight, and is my favorite of Panc4kez series of builds. The shaping throughout is excellent, but especially the head and shoulders where in lieu of a face, the King has only a scarf, thorns, and hair. The builder includes the King’s sword-spear weapon and crackling lightning. A mix of tattered cloth capes completes the dragon-slaying demigod’s look.

Nameless King

Dragon Slayer Ornstein fought alongside the Nameless King and was one of the sun god’s chosen knights. Panc4kez blends a few golden constraction elements with system slopes and 14 gold blades with the skill of a m aster blacksmith. The red plume is the cherry on top of an incredible character.

Dragonslayer Ornstein

Pulling up an old save file from 2020, we can see panc4kez’s first Dark Souls build – a tribute to the bonfires that serve as solace and save point in a cursed world. Five4 years before the trio above, the builder’s character building skills are already on display, blending system, constraction, and unexpected parts – like tires – for an expressive human form.

While not (as far as I can tell) referencing a particular game, panc4kez’ “Pax Aeterna” knight from 2024 shows the builder’s skill evolving. The face is wonderfully shaped and the mix of muted colors is exquisite.

As a final bonus from another dark video game world, we have Midna and Wolf-Link from The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. Midna’s iconic helm looks perfct, but it’s the shaping on Wolf-Link that steals the show. That white constraction greave on the neck is such a perfect shape!
